Ray Van Hilst

Ray is an inventive soul and his wit and charisma are present from the moment that you meet him. Ray seamlessly blends 20+ years of marketing experience with modern web principles to establish and advance the web presence of organizations that help build a better world. His diverse background includes working with a range of organizations from Fortune 500 brands, nonprofits, and associations. Some of his favorites include Disney, The Home Depot, and the National Wildlife Federation. His unique combination of experience enables him to lead collaborative endeavors that get things done and achieves results. Ray is driven to make a tangible impact for those he works with, and this drive pushes him beyond the all too common “wouldn’t it be great if…” hypotheticals in pursuit of the “this is how we do that” reality. When Ray isn’t in the office, or coffee shop, or client office, or wifi hotspot… he is frequently found speaking at events about web strategy and marketing technology. He is an active member of ASAE: The American Society of Association Executives and has served on ASAE’s Technology Section Council. When he’s not thinking about the web, Ray is a husband, father, outdoor enthusiast, frustrated musician, and struggling homebrewer.

Danielle Duran Baron, MA, MBA, CAE
Danielle Duran Baron is the Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Industry Relations at the School Nutrition Association (SNA), where she leads the development and implementation of the marketing and communication strategy to enhance and protect the SNA brand and the revenue-generating activities related to the strategic direction and positioning of the organization. Prior to SNA, she was the Executive Director of the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education and the Chief Marketing Officer at ABET, the global accreditor for university programs in the STEM disciplines. For more than two decades, Danielle has worked in the private, public and nonprofit sectors – in the United States and overseas – helping global organizations find their ideal positioning and authentic voice. Her expertise lies in strategy, marketing, experience design, storytelling and DEIA. Danielle holds a master’s degree in journalism and an MBA in marketing and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. She is the immediate past chair of ASAE’s Government Relations and Advocacy Professionals Advisory Council, a DELP Scholar and a certified association executive (CAE). She is also the board chair of Luminus, a Maryland-nonprofit helping immigrants thrive in their communities.
