SPEAKER BIOS
Damon Gambuto
Chief Production Officer, The Inception Company
Damon began his career working under Academy Award-winning documentarian Errol Morris where he first developed his eye for character-driven storytelling. He then moved on to ShowtimeNetworks’ Creative Services department in New York where he was the youngest person ever hired as a producer. A move to Los Angeles led to a turn in the feature film world. After a stint at ICM, he made his way to Universal Pictures. As part of their Motion Picture Group he worked on numerous feature films including Patch Adams, The Rundown, Mystery Men, Bride of Chucky, The Family Man, and American Pie, 2 Fast, 2Furious. As the Director of Development for Jessica Lange’s production company, Prairie Films, he oversaw numerous projects, including the award-winning feature filmTitus and the television movie My Sister’s Keeper. Damon then executive produced television series spanning the unscripted space and oversaw more than600 episodes of House Hunters International. Additionally, he has executive produced House Hunters; Off The Grid (HGTV), Restoring Glory (HGTV), Restaurant Redemption (Food Network), Genevieve’s Renovation (HGTV), Restaurant Divided (Food Network), Rocco’s Dinner Party (Bravo), No Kitchen Required (BBC America), and Bigger In Texas (A&E). He is proud to have produced the award-winning PBS series Wired Science, Meet the Folks (NBC), TheFamily Feud (syndicated), Killer Outbreaks (Animal Planet), and the first-ever Google-branded documentary series HACKWORKS. Damon’s writing has been featured in dozens of outlets and he was a recipient of a James Beard Award. His love of storytelling, travel, and food come second only to his wife and baby daughter who is growing and changing every day! Damon’s favorite hobby is golf and he can often befound practicing his swing.
Lee Hornstein
Founder/CEO, C-Systems
Lee has spent his career focused on the implementation and support of sophisticated, vertical market application software. Lee began to service the non-profit market in 1994 and has since worked with over 250 non-profit organizations. Lee is focused exclusively on the tax-exempt sector, leading a professional services team implementing ASI's iMIS Engagement Management System and the Aventri event and conference management software. Lee is a longtime member of NYSAE, has served for many years on the Technology and Education Committees and has participated in many industry events as both a speaker and coordinator of educational programs. Lee is a proud board member of The Guide Dog Foundation and America’s Vet Dogs. One of Lee’s proudest achievements was his involvement in the initial formation of NiUG, the International iMIS User Group. Lee has been very active in the iMIS community and C Systems is generally regarded as the largest Authorized iMIS Solution Partner (AiSP). C Systems is a multi-year winner of ASI’s AiSP of the Year award, an achievement that is the result of the work of a large number of dedicated and talented C Systems’ staff. C Systems is a strategic partner of Aventri, an industry leading SaaS based event and conference management platform. C Systems has delivered the Aventri and iMIS platforms to a global client base in the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia. Lee Graduated from the University of Colorado with a BS in Information Systems from the Leeds School of Business in 1979. Specialties: Non profit database applications, membership management, donor management, full event life cycle applications, website management, hosting, association management software, program promotion and marketing, executive training, community and cultural center software, resource scheduling, conference scheduling and logistics.
Craig Dellorso
CEO, Confluence Global
Based in Fairfax, Virginia, Craig calls upon 20 plus years of extensive leadership, technology, and operations experience in the Association and Non-Profit space to provide customers with transformative solutions and guidance. Having worked both in an association and as a vendor to the industry, his blend of experience provides Association and Non-Profit clients a unique and valuable perspective for success. He has built a reputation of integrity, innovation, and service excellence. Craig served as the Chief Customer Officer for Abila (formerly Avectra), a provider of association management software. In that role, he oversaw a staff of 120 who were responsible for selling, delivering professional services, training, and customer support of three product lines to more than 1,750 organizations. Prior to that, Craig served in roles as the Chief Information Officer for the National Association of College & University Business Officers (NACUBO), and General Manager, mindSHIFT Technologies. Craig completed his undergraduate studies at the United States Naval Academy and served 7 years as an active duty Naval Officer. He received his MBA from Marymount University.
Shaun Urban
President, The Inception Company
Shaun joined The Inception Company in January of 2018 as President of the organization. In his role as President, Shaun is responsible for leading the company’s day to day operations in video production and broadcasting, AV and meeting planning services and virtual meeting technologies, including Pando – the newest innovation in virtual meeting solutions. As part of these responsibilities, Shaun leads teams across the following areas within the organization: new business, client services, operations, production services, and meeting services. Prior to joining Inception, Shaun was with Ogilvy CommonHealth for 13 years as a Managing Partner at the agency responsible for leading the medical education, medical affairs, and market access agencies within the US. Shaun started the payer marketing capability within Ogilvy CommonHealth upon joining the agency in 2004 and built this offering into one of the most sophisticated market access agencies within the industry. In addition, Shaun also built the new business capability within Ogilvy CommonHealth and oversaw the Corporate Communications team responsible for managing the Ogilvy CommonHealth brand. Shaun holds a pharmacy degree from Purdue University and has been on the NJ Regional Board of Directors for the American Heart Association for the last 10 years.
